Hello!

How do we start a conversation with a person we have never met, yet already love? We cannot even begin to imagine the range of emotions you are experiencing during this time.

We’re Laurena and Danny (a home study approved couple), and we’re pleased to have the opportunity to begin communicating with you about our family, our household, and our hopes/dreams for this child as you ponder an adoption plan. We are and we’ve been married for 2.5 years and are looking forward to adopting a newborn (or newborn twins).

We would like to begin by expressing our admiration for your strength and courage as you consider a plan for adoption. This act is a selfless decision, one only a genuine mother could make, and we would truly be honored to be considered as parents to this beautiful baby.

Soooooo, where to start?! You’re probably reading several letters and hopeful adoptive parents’ profiles trying to decide who (and if) someone else is good enough to parent this baby. You may even still be undecided about whether adoption is the correct choice for you. We can only imagine that this is a challenging and confusing time so, again, thank you for giving us the opportunity to share a little about us and who we are.

We are extremely excited about beginning our parenthood journey. As we prepare our hearts and minds for the road ahead, we want to reassure you that this child will grow up knowing SO MUCH LOVE (not only from us, but also from grandparents, aunts, uncles, and close friends who have been supporting us on this journey). This child will also experience joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, devotion, and gentleness in a safe and secure environment while having many opportunities to grow, develop, and flourish throughout a fulfilling life.

We have built a supportive, stable home and created a warm and nurturing environment where this child will be encouraged to pursue their passions. Love, family/friends, health/wellness, education, adventure, and helping others are principles that we foster within our family and amongst our friendships.

Our respect for you is beyond words. Thank you for considering us as we look forward to becoming parents for the first time. While this is the first official communication between us, our hope is that this is the first step in establishing an open, long-term relationship with you and your family (if this is the type of relationship you desire).
